Dr. Megahed’s writings represent an important addition to the Arab library and the Arab academic effort, where she spent more than fifteen years studying certain topics. Also, Dr. Megahed’s books are used as references in several Arab universities.

- Adviser on the political side of the project on "The International Relations in Islam", Faculty of Economics and Political Science - Cairo University from 1986 – 1994 – the project works have been issued in 12 volumes in 1996 in cooperation with the International Institute of Islamic Thought in Washington.
- Rapporteur in the field of political culture and then the rapporteur-General (succeeding the late Prof. Dr. Fathallah al-Khatib) for the project on "The Egyptian State," Department of Political Sciences, Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University, 2004 - 2008 (53 research papers produced).
