The Center for Economic and Financial Research and Studies (CEFRS) was established on June 27th ,1984 as an independent entity affiliated to the Faculty of Economics and Political Science (FEPS). Its purpose is to consult the Government of Egypt , the private sector and other organizations on economic and financial matters and to develop research and practical skills for students and practitioners in the field of economics and finance

Promote economic development in Egypt by conducting and disseminating applied policy research

To be a center of Excellence in economic research and to be a national think tank for developing the Egyptian Economy

Objectives

Prepare and publish economic research  and policy papers. 
Provide Economic and financial consultations to private and governmental institutions. 
Designing and conducting training programs in economic and financial fields to develop specialized technical skills for students and practitioners 
Contribute to the public debate on current important economic and financial issues trough seminars and roundtables and public lectures.
