 Post Graduate Admissions Requirements

 

Admission for the Postgraduate Level 

The required documents to apply for M.Sc. and Ph.D. (general programs) and professional masters and diploma in Health Economics

*All submitted documents must be original, not photocopies

1- Graduation certificate (and equivalent certificate in case of non-governmental and foreign universities).

2- Four recent personal photos.

3- Computerized Birth Certificate.

4- Photocopy of the national ID card.

5- A consent that the individual is not enrolled in any other university degree at the same time.

6- Military service status (for males).

7- Students must pass the TOEFL exam (550 points) for all programs except for the professional master’s degree in health economics (500 points only).

8- For the Economics Department (master's and doctoral programs), a GRE score of 155 is required, except for the faculty graduates who got an excellent degree.

 
 

Additional requirements for applicants for M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs (graduates of other faculties)

A- M.Sc.: In addition to the previous documents – a detailed transcript for all the academic years is required.

B- Ph.D.: In addition to the previous documents:

1- A detailed transcript for all the academic years.

2- A detailed transcript for the pre-master’s courses.

3- A master’s degree certificate (and in the absence of a grade or score for the master’s degree, a formal letter from the faculty must be submitted stating that) (and in case of obtaining a master’s degree from a non-governmental or foreign university, a master’s equivalent certificate must be submitted).

4- A copy of the master’s thesis.

          ·        Note that all submitted documents must be original, not copies.
    ·         The documents must be submitted by the student himself..

Conditions for admission and enrollment for a professional master's program in gender and development

* All submitted documents must be original, not photocopies.

Obtaining a bachelor’s degree from one of the Egyptian faculties or an equivalent degree (approved by the Supreme Council of Universities) from one of the recognized scientific institutes or colleges, with at least a fair cumulative grade.

The required documents are:

          2-     Arabic graduation certificate.

          3-     Detailed transcript for all the academic years in English.

          4-     Four recent personal photos.

          5-     Photocopy of the national ID card.

          6-     Military service status (for males).

          7-     The curriculum vitae.

          8-     For those who work in the government sector, an official approval is required to study at the faculty if the lectures are during the official working hours.

          9-     Submit a letter explaining the motivation behind enrolling in the program, consisting of 500 words in English in which the student explains the motivation of enrollment, and the expected goals from the program, and the future goals of the student in the next five years.

    10-The student must pass an IELTS exam with score of 6 or a TOEFL Exam with score of 550 except for graduates of English section and foreign universities (where the undergraduate courses are in English).

    11- The members of the academic committee hold a meeting to check all the applicants’ documents. After the meeting, the accepted students will be contacted via e-mail. In the case of being accepted, allthe submitted documents will be original, not photocopies
  
    12- Under the program regulations and conditions concerning the acceptance of the graduates from other faculties or from corresponding departments and faculties in Egyptian universities, the students should pass the supplementary exams (statistics - economics - political science) with at least 65% grade.

    13- The documents must be submitted by the student himself.

 

Conditions for admission and enrollment for the Master's program in Law and Economics

*All submitted documents must be original, not photocopies.

- B.Sc. from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, or equivalent degrees from Social Science faculties (and an equivalent certificate from the Supreme Council of Universities in case of non-governmental and foreign universities).

- The student must pass an IELTS exam with score of 6 or a TOEFL Exam with score of 550 except for graduates of English section and foreign universities (where the undergraduate courses are in English).

 10- A motivation letter explaining the reason behind joining the program.

 11- The students will be contacted via e-mail to arrange a date for a personal interview.

 12- After conducting the personal interviews, the accepted students will be contacted via e-mail.

 13- All the documents must be original, not photocopies.

 14- All the accepted students must pass the qualifying exams (mathematics basics - economics basics - law basics).

 15- The documents must be submitted by the student himself.

 EURO-Mediterranean Programme

M.Sc. in Euro-Mediterranean Studies

PhD in Euro-Mediterranean Studies

Eligible Criteria:                                                                

-          Minimum grade of Bachelor degree: Good (65 per cent) of Political Science, Economics, Public Administration, Law, Mass Communication, Military Sciences, Art (History, Philosophy, Sociology, Mass Communication, Psychology). Incase if the applicants are not graduated from these faculties, the program can accept applicants who are working in fields related to the of Euro Mediterranean affairs.

Eligible Criteria:

-          Minimum grade of Master of Science

 degree: Good of Euro-Mediterranean studies, Political Science, Economics, Public Administration, Law, Mass Communication, Sciences of Military , Art ( departments; history , philosophy ,Sociology, Mass Communication, psychology).

 

Required Documents:

-          Transcript of grades for the four levels of undergraduate studies.

-          B.Sc. Certificate OR an Equivalent Certificate from High Council of Universities in case of private and foreign universities.

-          The Score of International TOEFL's Exam of 550

-          4 Photos (4 * 6 size).

-          Birth Certificate.

-          Copy of National ID

-          Military Exemption

-          Transcript of grades of courses in the Preliminary stage of M.Sc. and M.Sc. degree Certificate OR Equivalent Certificate from Supreme Council of Universities in case of private and foreign universities.

-          Printed Copy of M.Sc. thesis.

-          B.Sc. Certificate from Egyptian universities OR an Equivalent Certificate accredited by the Supreme Council of Universities in case of private and foreign universities.

-          Transcript of grades for the four levels of undergraduate studies.

-          The Score of International TOEFL Exam of 550
