• 2004-2006 completed MA of Political Science, thesis title: "Ethnic Groups Strategies Versus the State- A Case study for the Iraqi Shiites 2003-2005, supervised by Dr. Ali El- Din Hillal, graded with an Excellent degree.
• 2009-2010 A Phd non- degree Fulbrighter grantee, Univeristy of California Los Angeles, UCLA.
• 2008-2011 Phd degree, thesis title "Copts and their demands between inclusion and exclusion 1991-2008", graded with an Excellent degree.
• 2011-2012 lectured ,as an assistant professor, two courses on Arab Political Systems: The age of the Arab Spring and another one on the Egyptian Political System.
• 2013-2014 Got the Fulbright Scholar Post Doctoral grant and was affiliated to the UCLA Center for Near Eastern Studies , gave many lectures and seminars about the Egyptian Political system and the Arab Spring at UCLA and other campuses as Texas State University and the University of Waterloo, Canada.
