My Curriculum VitaeEducation: Tarek Abdelfattah Moursi received a Ph.D. (1986) in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of California, Berkeley with a major in economic development and minor in economic planning, labor economics and econometrics. He also holds an M.Sc. (1984) in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of California, Berkeley and MA and B.Sc. degrees in economics from the American University in Cairo (1980) and Cairo University (1975), respectively. Besides teaching at Cairo University, he held part time and long term teaching positions in the Department of Economics at the American University in Cairo. He conducted research and served as a consultant for different national and international organizations and institutions including the Ministry of Economy and Economic Cooperation and the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, Egypt, the Quantitative Economic Analysis Division and the Economic Issues Program at the Information and Decision Support Center of the Egyptian Cabinet, the Egyptian Center for Economic Studies, FAO, Ford Foundation, IDRC, World Bank and ILO. He is a research fellow at the Economic Research Forum and a member of the American Economic Association.
