My Curriculum VitaeEducation: Professor Mona El-Baradei, is a prominent Egyptian Economist. She is the Executive Director of the Egyptian Banking Institute, Central Bank of Egypt and has served in this position since December 2011. She is also a professor of Economics and the Former Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University (from 2005 through 2008) as the first woman to be appointed in the capacity of dean of the Faculty. She was also the Former Executive Director of the Egyptian National Competitiveness Council, ENCC (from 2008 through 2011).
Professor El Baradei has authored and co-authored a vast number of publications and research papers in different fields such as Economic Development, Human Resources Development, Energy Economics and the Economics of Education.
Professor El Baradei has been a consultant for a number of organizations including: UNDP, UNICEF, UNESCO, the Population Council, the Social Fund for Development, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education.
She is a board member of a number of private and public institutions such as: The Egyptian Society for Political Economy, Statistics and Legislation; the General Committee of The Holding Company of Misr Electricity, (since 2001); the Board of Trustees of the “General Authority for Investment and Free Zones”, (2004-2007); the Permanent Committee for Economic and Public Finance for promoting professors (2004 - 2008); Board member of Consumer Protection Agency (2006-2009); Specialized National Councils for Economic and Financial Policies (since 2006); Member of the Supreme Committee for Developing the Higher Education Fund (2006-2009); Member of the Labor Advisory Council, (2008- 2011); the Centre for Research and Technological Planning, Cairo University since 2008; Board member of the Centre for Economic and Fiscal Research and Studies, Cairo University (since 2008); the General Assembly of Egypt Import and Export Company, (2009-2013); member of the National Council for Women "NCW", (2008-2011), board member of the National Telecommunication Regulatory Agency "NTRA" (2011-2013), board member of the Dean's Strategic Advisory Board, School of Business, AUC, board member of the board of Directors in Credit Agricole Bank since March 2013 and member of the board in the Canadian University since 2013.
