Education:
Dr. Elaasar obtained her PhD. in Economics from Cairo University in 1986. Her research interests lie in the areas of Agricultural Economics, water resources and Economic development. She has published her papers in more than a dozen different peer–reviewed journals, including Egyptian Journal of Agricultural Economics, the Egyptian association for political Economy and Statistics and legislation , scientific journal for Faculty of Commerce, Assiut University. She is a member of the She is a member of the Egyptian association of Agricultural Economics and the Egyptian society of political Economy and Statistics and legislation. She has supervised a large number of masters and PhD theses. She has served as a referee in the scientific committee for promoting associate professors and in some economic journals. She has held the post of Vice Dean for Community Services & Environmental Development at faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University from 13/7/2014 to 31/7/2015.

Her research interests lie in the areas of Agricultural Economics, water resources and Economic development.
