Welcome from Head of Department

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the web page of the Department of Political Science- Cairo University.

The department grants Bachelor (BSc), Masters (MSc), and Doctorate (PhD) degrees in political science and it grants diploma degree in different fields of political science. Moreover, the department plays an important role in the Egyptian and Middle Eastern political life, through conferences, seminars that discuss the most important contemporary issues, their causes and ways of solving them, also the department helps the decision makers by providing them with scientific studies necessary to the decision making process.

Our department gives also training courses for the government employees, and those who are wishing to join the Foreign Ministry. The department’s- including its three sections, Arabic, English and French-main objective is focused on providing the best possible education for students seeking to develop an expertise in the field of political science by instilling solid skills in research and analytical reasoning.

The Department of Political Science is and we hope it will be forever a distinguished department in a distinguished faculty and a distinguished university.
